About the Designer
Alan Garren, based in Bath, Ohio, is a residential and commercial designer specializing in space planning, lighting and architectural detailing with concern for creating a functional, comfortable and attractive environment for his clients.
Garren’s interior design career spans four decades and has earned him various awards including a national lighting award and a national environmental award in collaboration with a local builder. Additionally, his work has been recognized by the American Society of Interior Designers with fourteen “Interior of the Year” awards.
Alan is NCIDQ board certified, and he has served on the ASID Ohio North Chapter, Board of Directors. In addition, he has served on the Interior Design Advisory Boards at the University of Akron, Cuyahoga Community College and Kent State University, where he taught a senior design course. He has mentored over 25 student interns and has been a guest lecturer at various colleges and community forums.
